5/16 - Patti and Skyline Chili!

Wednesday morning after breakfast with Suzanne and Berta. It's raining and in the '60's. David drove 204 miles yesterday.

On to Ft. Mitchell/Walton, KY!

Not a long drive today, so we took our time. Got to the campground and had a nice creekside location. Just praying we don't have more rain than the creek can hold! Yesterday it was in the '90's and rained and now the temperature has dropped to COLD! High today in the '60's! Heat pump works!

Another member of the All My Children (AMC) Group, Pattie, arrived about 6:00 ish and picked us up to go to dinner. We'd met Pattie in New York a couple of years ago, too. She brought a geat surprise! Frozen Skyline Chili. If you haven't had it before, it's great! It's cinnamon flavored chili and great with cheese! Thanks Pattie!

We went to an Italian restaurant in Florence and the food was great. All too soon it was time to to head back to the campground. Pattie came in to visit before leaving and charmed the Right Revered Chrissy Ellison otherwise known as our mini-dachshund who's main duty is doorbell and security. She had barked, growled, and snapped at Suzanne and Berta, but fell in love with Pattie! She and Chrissy play rope throw for the longest while we watched American Idol results show. We came to a dead stop when Melinda was eliminated. Both of us screamed NO! We couldn't believe Blake was going to the finals! Bummer!

After being so disappointed, Pattie headed home. Pray for Pattie as she's facing surgery for breast cancer soon.

Off to bed and get reading for Indianapolis!
